Mary Jane University Open House – Palm Springs, CA

November 4, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Our parent company Mary Jane University is putting on an open house!

Curious about Cannabis? Mary Jane University is here to serve the community of Palm Springs.  Please join us for a unique educational and shopping experience at our Open House on November 4, 2018!

Creating a fun and interactive learning environment in the comfort and safety of the living room, Mary Jane University reaches the heart and mind of the Canna-Curious by bridging the gap between medication and education. MJU showcases the therapeutic aspects of cannabis via demonstrations, product reviews and sampling. The MJU curriculum is tailored to the booking host’s requests and can cover a wide variety of topics, including exploring the rich history of global cannabis use; an education on the human endocannabinoid system; distinguishing the quality and efficacy of topicals, tinctures and edible products; methods of medicating and cooking with cannabis – including the importance of testing the food for THC potency.

The Mary Jane University leadership team, CEO Frances Schauwecker, COO Barbie Sommars and CMO Lindsey Jones will present an example of the Cannabis 101 Party. Additionally, “students” will see a glimpse of MJU’s other signature educational party offerings such as the Cannabis Spa Experience, Cooking with Cannabis, The CannaSutra, as well as the add-on features of the Mary Birthday or Bachelorette party.

Learn about the latest tools to enhance your cannabis experiences such as DNA cannabis compatibility tests, infusion machines, dry-herb vaporizers, water pipes, discreet transportation and storage. Visit the Mary Jane University online shop to learn more. https://maryjaneuniversity.info/shop/

The highlight of the afternoon’s offerings will be a cannabis-infused dessert created exclusively for the event by Palm Springs celebrity Chef Stephen Lee. Chef Lee will be utilizing the Magical Butter Machine to create a low-dose THC cannabis infusion for his “Cinderella’s Ice Dream” with cannabis flower provided by Cathedral City-based CannAmsterdam. Chef Lee will test the potency of his infusion with tCheck.  This coconut-milk based ice cream features heirloom Rouge Vif D’Etampe pumpkins locally sourced at the Palm Springs Farmers’ Market. Commonly known as the “Cinderella Pumpkin”, this variety served as the artists’ model for the fairytale coach and is noted for its creamy texture and subtle sweetness. Students will be able to personalize their consumption with the addition of handcrafted toppings, such as fire-roasted pumpkin seeds.

“Mary Jane University educates through tactile contact with the cannabis plant, employing all the senses in order to stimulate the brain and create lasting memories,” explains MJU Cannabis Educator and COO Barbie Sommars. “Food experiences inspire lifelong sense memories which enhance learning. We’ve invited Chef Stephen Lee to invoke those memories because his devoted practice of sustainable farming and elemental food preparation strongly align with MJU’s mission of holistic healing. It is so exciting to witness the Master conjure up an enlightening and enchanted journey for our students!”
