Sushi + Doobie Rolling Workshop

Our February event explores the sensual side of Cannabis and will feature special recipes from Chef Victor. Get ready for romance as love is sure to be in the air AND the food, with all the aphrodisiacs he’s adding to the menu.

Turn your love of cooking and cannabis into an art form and learn how to make delicious cannabis-infused sushi! Chef Victor, a professional sushi chef will guide you in the sophisticated art of cooking with cannabis as well as how to roll a doobie with flower privided by Hummingbird Medicinals! You’ll learn everything you need to know during this 2 hour, hands-on cannabis cooking class. Afterwards, you’ll mingle with your new like-minded friends around the hand roll action station while watching live glassblowing, listening to delicious tunes and learning more about our sponsors’ products and how you can incorporate them into your own recipes.

The evening consists of:
– Appetizers: Kumamoto Oyster Shooters topped with caviar, scallions, spicy Ponzu and freshly grated wasabi and ginger
– Hokkaido Seared Scallops
– honey truffle butter, Meyer salt, Yuzu foam
– Omakase Sushi Flight – Assortment of the freshest fish the chef wants to tantalize your palates with
– Tea and Watermelon Pomegranate and Mint Agua Fresca
– And education on the sensual side of cannabis by Frances Schauweckerof Mary Jane University
– An education from Chef Victor on sushi history, including where to find it and how to know if it’s good fish
– An understanding of dosing
-Mary Jane University presents: Terpene Education by Dr. Jeffrey Raber of Cannaroma
– Choosing the right flower to pair with your meal
– Proper grind on your Hummingbird Medicinals flower
– Preparing sushi rice
– Demonstration on how to make a Spicy Tuna Roll (avo, cucumber, togarashi, tuna, ginger, miji sauce)
– Demonstration on how to roll a Doobie
– Taste and smoke your labors
– Watch the pro at the smoked out hand roll action station!
– Dessert: Strawberry Ice Cream Sandwiches

About the Venue: The Gallery is dedicated to the exhibition of the best in modern, experimental glass art. Both decorative and functional works are featured, exploring the boundless creativity found in combining aesthetic expression with science and function.

About the Chef: Chef Victor comes to us from the great land of Alaska. Born and raised in the beautiful little city of Seward surrounded by natural skyscrapers and bountiful waters. He has been lucky enough to work with some of the highest quality seafood the world has to offer and accepts no less. Chef Victor has made sushi for over half his life, and for events such as the Stanley Cup, NBA finals, Americas Cup, Grammy’s and X-Games. The Dalai Lama, Larry David and Bill Gates are just a few of his past customers.
